Stephen Myers

Stephen has over 40 years Management and Industrial Relations experience across a variety of industries with senior management and board positions in both private and public companies in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.

Stephen Commenced his career in industrial relations with BHP Proprietary Limited at Newcastle steelworks. He joined Seatainer Terminals Limited then progressing through industrial relations, commercial, operational and terminal management positions.

Stepehn then joined TNT Australia and was appointed an Executive General Manager, TNT Australia covering multiple divisions in general freight road, rail and sea transport operations, freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution and logistics. Stephen represented TNT Australia in the road transport industry and was inaurgural President of the Australian Road Transport Industrial Organisation.

Stephen moved to Brisbane as Managing Director Nautilus Australia, ship providors throughout Australia, Singapore, Indonesia and Vanuatu.

He started his own consulting company - Myers Consulting Pty Ltd which provided management consulting services in Business Strategy, Operations and Logistics, Strategic Negotiations, Coaching and Mentoring for Business Owners, Managing Directors, CEO's and Senior Management of SME's and Family Companies.

Stephen joined P&O Ports as General Manager Bulk & General Stevedoring ANZ Region covering stevedoring, transport and logistics operations. He led the Waterfront Reform negotiations for P&O Ports Bulk & General Stevedoring.

With P&O Ports Stephen was a Director of NZL Group Limited, Prixcar Services Pty Ltd, Northern Shipping & Stevedoring Pty Ltd, Port Services PtyLtd (Port Moresby) and Chairman Riback Stevedores (Lae) Papua New Guinea.

Stephen is currently Chairman of TEC 39 and TEC 43 which comprise Business Owners, MD's, CEO's of companies in South East Queensland, North Queensland, North and Central New South Wales who are members of the Executive Connection, an international organisation with over 22,000 CEO's and Business Owner members.

Stephen also privately coaches and mentors a number of select owners of SME's, Founders of Family Owned Business and Senior Managers in these organisations through various evidence based and performance coaching programs.

Stephen holds tertiary qualifications with a Bachelor of Commerce (Industrial Relations) honours degree and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of New South Wales. He completed the Advanced Transportation Management Course at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois and the IBM Advanced Distribution Management Course, Palisades, New York.

Previous Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Institute of Management Consultants over 20+ years.

Married to Jenny with two exceptional boys John 28 years Captain Australian Army - Blackhawk Pilot and David 26 years Phd Student QUT - Information Technology.
